What is Fylo Flex?​

Fylo Flex is a subscription which gives you your own custom version of Fylo. Whether you're running a community, a network or a brand, Fylo Flex gives you the tools and identity to make your server protection uniquely yours — without compromising on speed or features.

You get everything included in the normal Fylo bot including access to the web dashboard, plus the ability to customize your bot to your liking, making it your own.

Fylo Flex is priced at £3/month per custom bot. No hidden fees. Cancel anytime.

What's Included?​

With a Fylo Flex subscription you get to fully customize your bot's username, avatar, banner, custom status, 'about me' section, and theme color in embeds (coming soon).

With Fylo Flex, we don't even add "Custom response from server admins" to footers of custom responses! Your custom bot really is yours.

How Do I Get Started?​

  1. Head to the Discord Developer Portal and click 'New Application'.
  2. Name your bot whatever you like and then click 'Create', remembering to agree to Discord's Developer Terms of Service as well as their Developer Policy.
  3. Click 'Bot' in the sidebar and scroll down until you see 'Privileged Gateway Intents'. Check all intents ('Presence Intent', 'Server Members Intent' and 'Message Content Intent') and save your changes.
  4. Still in the 'Bot' tab, scroll up and click 'Reset Token' to generate a token. Copy this as you will need to paste it in the next step. Do not share this with anyone.
  5. Head to our Fylo Flex page and click 'Create Bot'. Paste the token you generated in the previous step.
  6. Click 'Subscribe'. You will be taken to PayPal to complete your purchase, and once completed you will be redirected back to our website where you'll be able to view & manage your custom bot.
  7. To invite your custom bot to your server, click the settings icon on your bot on the Fylo Flex page and then click 'Invite'. You will either be redirected to Discord where you can authorize your bot, or a menu in the Discord app will appear where you can authorize your bot there instead.

How Do I Manage My Custom Bot?​

From the Fylo Flex page, you can:

  • View all the custom bots you have under a Fylo Flex subscription.
  • Start & stop your custom bots whenever you wish.
  • View the state (online/offline) of your custom bots.
  • Edit the custom status of your custom bots.
  • Edit the token of your custom bots.
  • Invite your custom bots to your servers.
  • Manage your custom bots' subscriptions.

From the Discord Developer Portal, you can change your bot's:

  • Username (remembering to change it from both the 'General Information' tab and the 'Bot' tab)
  • Avatar & banner
  • Description ('about me' section)
  • Privacy settings (change whether anyone can invite your bot to their server)

You can edit the settings of your servers from the Fylo dashboard.

Your custom bot must be online in order to configure a server's settings if the main Fylo bot isn't in your server.

Token Security​

Your bot's token is extremely sensitive. It acts as a password for your bot. If someone else gets access to it, they can take full control of your bot, allowing them to use your bot's permissions to harm your servers.

🚫 What NOT to do:

  • NEVER share your bot's token with anyone.
  • NEVER send your bot's token in a Discord message, post it on GitHub, or paste it anywhere public.
  • NEVER store your bot's token anywhere. You only need it once when initiating your bot on the Fylo Flex page.

✅ What you SHOULD do:

  • DO treat your bot's token like a password.
  • DO regenerate your bot's token on the Discord Developer Portal if you think it's been compromised.
  • DO ask our support team for help if you need it. The last thing we want is for your bot's token to be leaked, therefore compromising the security of your servers.
